Halloween – The Curse of Michael Myers

In many ways, the late Michael Jackson is seen as a mysterious individual. Towards the later years of his career and life, controversy was something that was largely associated with the “King of Pop”. Let’s take a closer look at some of the many mysteries shrouding our beloved icon. Before you read on, here a snapshot of all the essential Michael Jackson “costumes” he wore throughout his life.

Michael and His Oxygen Chamber – Did He Really Sleep In it?
Yes, he did! The $60,000 machine was built and slept in by the late Michael in the hope that he could live up to an old age of 150 (which he sadly did not). Known as the Sechrist 2500B hyperbaric oxygen chamber, Michael was photographed to have slept in the chamber sometime in 1986. The chamber is said to be left in a storage depot somewhere in San Diego and gathering dust.

Why Did He Have Bubbles As A Pet…Who Is Bubbles?
Bubbles is the name of a common chimpanzee that was adopted by Michael. Bubbles was said to have been taken from a cancer research clinic in Texas sometime in 1985. While it was said that Michael and Bubbles had gone on to develop a close relationship, the public had different ideas…they had developed the notion that Michael was an eccentric who could not leave his childhood behind…As a result, he was given the name “Wacko Jacko”. What I’d say is…you definitely cannot win them all, can you?

Did Michael Bleach His Skin?
This is what many failed to see and understand. Contrary to belief, Michael did not really bleach himself on purpose and this has been proven through autopsy. He DIDN’T bathe in bleach. What really happened was he had developed a skin disease which is commonly known as Vitiligo. What happens is Vitiligo caused Michael’s skin to blotch in white spots which ultimately covered his entire skin. He could have bleach or undergo a process known as de-pigmentation to reverse the process of blotching.

Why Was Michael Known To Have Want To Look Like Peter Pan?
This is a very controversial subject. It has been said that Michael IS obsessed with Peter Pan in many ways. He invites children to his ranch in the hope of reliving his fantasy and obsession to be like Peter. As a matter of fact, many experts has said that Michael bears a strong resemblance to Peter. Download their two pictures and put them side by side…do you see the resemblance. Personally, I couldn’t see where the resemblance (physical looks) was…Would you care to enlighten me? Who Is Debbie Roe, Blanket aka Prince Michael?
Debbie Roe is Michael’s ex-wife. Although married, they never really lived under the same roof. As a result, their offspring was believed to be the result of artificial insemination. It was also widely believed that the two children were not Michael’s but he insisted they were. Blanket also known as Prince Michael Jackson II was born on November 2002 and is Michael’s third child.

The Last Days Of Michael Jackson

There is much controversy surrounding the late Michael Jackson’s death. There have been claims that his death was a murder, a homicide even if the LAPD has denied allegations that they have started investigations into the case.

Michael Will Be Missed Forever…

Even if there are certain quarters who are not at eased with his actions and controversies surrounding the late King of Pop, he will undoubtedly be sorely missed by the entertainment industry. His career has seen too many great songs, many of which are number ones including great videos. Let’s not forget that he was involved in the USA-AFRICA campaign which was intended to solve world hunger and poverty. Not only did he do that, he was recorded in the Guiness Book Of World Records for being the celebrity that contributed to the most number of charities (39 in total) including the concert of the Century, Victory Tour which saw him contributing 5 million to 3 different charity organizations. Many of his fans, including myself are planning to honor Michael Jackson by wearing Michael Jackson Halloween Costumes.

Was It Murder?

Again, this is a highly controversial issue. Other than the fact that articles such as this could very well sway investigations and the juries’ verdict (since it is still an ongoing case), we can only assume. Michael Jackson’s death has been said to be due to a cardiac arrest initially and further investigations led to the administration of the powerful drug Propofol (also known as Diprovan) by the late Michael’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray. Propofol or Diprovan is a strong medication to treat insomnia and Dr. Conrad Murray is the one that has been found to administer the drug to Micheal which led to Michael’s addiction to the drug. Michael was said to be in the process of trying to kick off his habit on Diprovan prior to his death. Further reports by the coroner has said that Michael’s death was a homicide due to a combination of a series of drugs including Lorazepam, Propofol (Dirpovan) and Midazolam. While there may be differing opinions as to whether Dr. Murray’s charge for homicide is right or wrong, it must be said that Diprovan is a very powerful drug and an overdose can lead to a cardiac arrest (which was just what happened). We will wait in anticipation as the case goes into its proceedings…

Michael Jackson – Pepsi Hair On Fire

As we all know, Michael Jackson is one of the many celebrities who endorsed Pepsi at one time or another. Sometime in the 80s, post-Thriller, Michael Jackson was involved in a horrific tragedy when his hair was set on fire. In the 1984 filming of the Pepsi ad in the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium, Michael suffered severe scalp burns. As a result, Pepsi paid $1.5 million to settle the case; an amount which Michael donated to the Broatman Medical Centre. While there was no concrete evidence to indicate otherwise, there has been suggestions that Michael’s long battle with an assortment of addictions had been triggered by this “Pepsi Hair On Fire” incident. Whether that has any truth to it remains to be seen.

It’s Ironic, that today, Thursday, September 3, as I write this, Michael Jackson has been finally laid to rest. What better way to celebrate his life and legacy than to wear Michael Jackson Halloween Costumes this Halloween.

The Legacy that is Michael Jackson will continue to live in the hearts and memories of many. His music and contributions will leave a deep mark that will be hard to replace. There have been talks of comparing Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley as the “greatest” performer or entertainer that had lived. The two superstar’s deaths had many similarities. Among some of the similarities between the two is : both had superb voice and fancy footwork; both of them had been imitated by many look-alikes and both have their own signature poses; and finally, both of these superstars had their own distinctive hairstyles. Whether he is actually better than Elvis is another controversial issue. Personally, I don’t think they can be compared in that sense – first of all, both had lived in different eras and performed distinctively different kinds of music. I would say that they are both great in their own way. However, they are both superstars in their own way. Elvis was the King Of Rock N’ Roll and the best of his era and Michael, the King of Pop and arguably the best of his generation. With Michael’s death, the two will be compared even more.

Will We Ever See Another Michael?
This is a very difficult question to answer. For one, Michael is and will always be a class of his own. Personally, I don’t think any other celebrity will be able to replace him. Even if there are any celebrities who can sing and dance the way he does, it is his overall personality that makes him unique. He has changed the world in his own ways..contributed huge sums to world charities and organizations as well as tried to end world hunger (at least he tried to make that change…)

Among His Contributions To The World (Other Than To The Music and Entertainment Industry)
Frankly speaking, I don’t even know where to begin! The list is just too long…After all, he is the number one celebrity contributor to charity organizations according to The Guinness Book Of World Records. Among his contributions was to work with sick children (among his personal favorite), AIDS organizations, homelessness, poverty and hunger. He spent a great deal of his money and even time to help those who are deprived of basic necessities. Indeed, his contribution in the field of humanitarian cannot be denied. He was one man that tried to make the world a better place and he started with the Man in the mirror.

Michael’s Work With Ronald Regan
Ex-president Ronald Regan had presented Michael with the Presidential Public Safety Communication Award in 1984 for his role in contributing to charities and organizations of those that was involved in eradicating alcohol and drug abuse. However, as ironic as it may sound, it is due to drug abuse that ultimately led to his death. Very sad and tragic indeed. R.I.P Michael…We will always remember you! Through your music and through your Halloween Costumes, as we celebrate your life this coming Halloween

This is among one of the most debatable issues of all time. The late Michael Jackson, also referred to as “The King Of Pop” has countless of number 1 singles and this is why I have put myself in a difficult position by trying to name his top 5 songs. Still, this is my personal list and everyone of you are entitled to his/her opinions. Let’s move on.

Black or White
Now, I really don’t know if anybody at all who has not heard this song or don’t know this. It is one of my personal favorites (or else it wouldn’t be in this list right..duhh!!!) Anyways, the song features great music (including great guitar work by Slash of ex Guns N’ Roses) and a deep meaning to the lyrics. One of the best part of this song is that it has a song which can be interpreted in many different ways. Meaning, my interpretation of the song and lyrics may not be the same as yours. But what I can understand is that the song transcends all race, culture and color and calls for the world to unite as one. The musical arrangement is quite complex with the beats changing in many different parts to reflect the moods

Billie Jean
This is another of my firm favorite and I believe, for many of the late King of Pop’s fans. The music is groovy in a mysterious kind of way. It has been said that Billie Jean is not about any specific girl or individual in question. Rather, it is a song on the whole groupie scene as well as over-obsessive fans (it can be pretty scary I assure you). It is one of those songs that will stick in your head and get you humming for hours (I am humming to the tune as I write this hahahahhaha). Thriller
Ohhh my..who can forget the great video that came together with this fantastic song? The song was huge in too many ways all over the world. I remember watching this as a kid and although I was too terrified, I still braved myself to watch it. The song was great and dancing…next to none. This will always be remembered as among Michael’s highlights which featured the perfect package of good song, good lyrics, good performance, good video…good..everything? And like Billie Jean, would you believe that for Halloween 2009, the Michael Jackson Halloween Costumes are already out? Yeah, check out his thriller costume.

Beat It
This is another of my favorites. I grew up listening to this song when it was first released. I never grew out of it. It is hard not to love this song…it is catchy and features very poppy music. The song which has been recently covered by the group Fall Out Boy just shows how popular the song is. It is generally upbeat and funky but appeared to be aggressive in certain parts. If you wanna dress funky and fly, Michael Jackson Halloween Costumes – Beat It Costume is for you.

I’m Bad
This was among one of the 5 Number Singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Basically, this is a street song about the “bad” kids in the streets and who is the best among the bad. The song, needless to say is very addictive and goes down as one of the late Michael’s most successful.
